Rural districts house prices rising five times faster than London

Yorkshire Live reports that city buyers looking for homes in rural areas may be responsible for the 29.4% rise in Yorkshire house prices over the last year

Across the UK, house prices have soared due to the impact of the pandemic – with many city dwellers relocating to rural areas due to efficiency of working from home.

Stamp duty cuts also led to higher asking prices contributing to the rise of rural home prices.

Data published in a report revealed that house price growth was strongest in the North West where prices increased by 18.6% compared to London, where prices only increased by 6.3%.
