ThriveWell Collective – Community Wellbeing Support for Rural Adults Living With Long-Term Conditions

Oxfordshire & Nationwide

ThriveWell Collective provides community-led wellbeing support for adults living with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS/ME), long COVID, peri-menopausal symptoms and multi-symptom long-term conditions. Based in Oxfordshire and accessible across the UK, ThriveWell focuses on reducing rural isolation, improving emotional and physical steadiness, and helping people feel more supported, connected and in control of their wellbeing.

Our approach blends lived experience, peer connection, holistic education and gentle self-management strategies. This aligns closely with NHS social prescribing aims and rural health priorities.

ThriveWell operates under the guidance of Community Catalysts, reflecting safe, quality community provision. We are listed on Live Well Oxfordshire and maintain links with charities and community groups, helping rural residents and professionals easily find trustworthy non-clinical support.

Two-Tier Community Support Model
1. Free Community (Open Access Support)

Our free community ensures no one is left without connection — especially rural individuals limited by distance, capacity or finances. It offers:

  • A welcoming peer space
  • Gentle emotional support
  • A starting point for those newly diagnosed or overwhelmed
  • Local connection for Oxfordshire residents
  • A vital stepping stone for those unable to access paid help

This group is often the first safe community many people have in years.

2. ThriveWell Collective Membership (Structured Ongoing Support)

Our membership provides deeper, accessible support designed for long-term conditions and rural living. Support includes:

  • Two monthly Google Meet group sessions
  • Monthly wellbeing themes (fatigue, pain, pacing, brain fog, rest, mindset, inflammation, etc.)
  • A hidden Facebook community for private 24/7 peer support
  • Access to a full membership portal containing:
    • Educational wellbeing courses/modules
    • A structured learning area
    • Worksheets, planners and guided tools
    • A members-only resource library
  • Monthly mindset video + guided journaling prompts
  • Realistic strategies for energy, routine, emotional steadiness, identity and daily functioning
  • Personalised WhatsApp video support for low-capacity days or unreliable rural Wi-Fi

The intention of the membership is to help individuals feel steadier, more capable, more confident and less isolated. Support focuses on resilience, pacing, balance, structure, self-belief and everyday wellbeing.
Employment guidance is available only if relevant to a member’s goals, as one optional aspect of a much wider wellbeing pathway.

Optional 1:1 Peer Support

We also offer paid individual Peer Support sessions, providing private space, personalised strategies and deeper support for those navigating flare-ups, overwhelm or life transitions — especially valuable for rural residents with limited local services.

Local Rural Meet-Ups

We hold monthly in-person meet-ups rotating across rural Oxfordshire (Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Wantage and nearby villages) to increase accessibility and reduce travel burden.

Boundaries, Safety & Inclusion

ThriveWell provides wellbeing education and peer support, not clinical treatment or counselling. We maintain safeguarding policies, confidentiality, GDPR compliance and Public Liability Insurance, and signpost appropriately to NHS and crisis services.
Our community is inclusive, flexible and able to accommodate varied access needs.
