Post-Brexit farming

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has released a video to explain the benefits of post-Brexit farming using images from Slovenian and German farms, according to The Times and Farmers Weekly.

In what was intended to be an advertisement for the benefits of Brexit, it has been revealed that the agency tasked with producing the short film actually sourced images of farms in Europe, as Stuart Roberts, Vice-President of the National Farmers’ Union, wryly noted on Twitter. Defra responded by saying, ‘We have requested that the agency responsible for creating this video replace the relevant images and made it clear we expect higher standards in the future.’
