More police resources for 'insecure' rural areas?

A POLICE and crime commissioner has pledged to divert police resources from urban areas to the countryside if a major survey finds that farmers and landowners ‘do not feel secure’.


Wiltshire police and crime commissioner Angus Macpherson said he would not hesitate to pull officers out of the county’s large towns and get them patrolling country lanes - to make rural policing ‘part of mainstream policing’ again.
