Have Your Say on the Future of Energy – NESO RESP Autumn Forums

The National Energy System Operator (NESO), an RSN member, is inviting local and regional stakeholders to take part in its Regional Energy Strategic Planning (RESP) Autumn Forums, running throughout October 2025.

These sessions build on earlier rounds of engagement that have already seen over 2,000 participants from across Scotland, Wales and England help shape NESO’s approach to regional energy planning.

This autumn’s Forums will focus on:

• The RESP consultation (open until 3 November 2025), and
• The forthcoming tRESP Methodology consultation, which will set out how NESO will produce the first full Regional Energy Strategic Plans from 2027.

Each Forum will provide updates on NESO’s Strategic Spatial Energy Plan, outline next steps for regional engagement, and include opportunities for Q&A.

By taking part, members can help ensure that rural priorities and infrastructure needs are reflected in future national energy planning.
