Deal to bring rural areas up to speed on broadband

The Times reports that rural fibre broadband provider, Borderlink, which trades as GoFibre, has received £164 million of new funding from Gresham House, the asset manager

Borderlink said that along with additional investment in infrastructure, the new money would allow it to double staff numbers to 200, as well as to open new offices.

The company aims to provide gigabit-capable speeds to half a million homes in Scotland and the north of England over the next three years.
