Anger as Norfolk are losing out to the north on millions of levelling-up cash

Eastern Daily Press reports that a new report by the East of England Local Government Association (EELGA) has highlighted how Norfolk and Waveney is missing out when it comes to the government's 'levelling-up' drive - with just £92 allocated per person in the east of England compared to £359 in parts of the north

The region, which has pockets of major deprivation in areas such as Norwich, Great Yarmouth, King's Lynn and Lowestoft, is being short-changed as the government's much-vaunted agenda focuses on the north and the Midlands.

Concerned Norfolk County Council leader Andrew Proctor warned the region could be "left behind", while Waveney MP Peter Aldous has raised the issue in the Commons.
