Strengthening The Rural Voice

It’s been an important and busy week across the Rural Services Network.

Earlier this week, we brought members together to share insights on our campaigning priorities, with a continued focus on fair funding and strengthening the rural voice in national policy.

We also launched our Delivering for All: Rural Realities survey findings, capturing the lived experiences of more than 2,400 rural residents across England, highlighting both the very real challenges facing communities and the untapped potential within rural places.

We’ve since continued that conversation through our Rural Economy Seminar, where members and expert speakers explored the opportunities and barriers shaping rural economies, from funding pressures to innovation, local leadership and the role of devolution.

A strong and consistent message runs throughout: rural communities must be recognised, understood, and properly supported, not just for their own future, but for the strength of the wider national economy.
