DfE Updates Funding Guidance For Local Authorities

The Department for Education has updated its document collection pages covering 16 to 19 education and skills funding, and adult education and skills funding. The pages bring together key guidance, funding rules, allocation statements and supporting information for schools, colleges, local authorities and independent training providers.

The 16 to 19 funding collection explains current funding arrangements for post-16 education, while the adult education and skills section provides information on allocations, funding rates, calculations and performance management for adult learning and skills provision.

The Department is also seeking feedback from local authority finance teams to help improve its local authority analysis tool, which is being developed to support schools risk monitoring and performance analysis. Officials are inviting participants to take part in informal 30-minute Microsoft Teams sessions with user researchers to discuss current processes and future needs.

Those interested in taking part can email: [email protected] with their name, job title and confirmation that they are willing to participate in user research.
