Rotherham

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber

Population: 260,786 (Mid-year estimate 2015)

Interesting fact: Rotherham Minster was built during the fifteenth century on the site of an earlier Saxon Church and described by Pevsner as "one of the largest and stateliest of parish churches in Yorkshire". The 180ft. spire, topped with its 7ft. gilded weathervane, has risen above the town for over 500 years.
