Average house prices provide a barometer to a regions prosperity and economic resilience.  It was interesting therefore to note that when preparing the following analysis, the percentage change between September 2012 and December 2012 in house price for an average property in an urban local authority area was -1.7% compared with a decrease of -3.4% in a rural area. 

The Jobseekers Allowance claimant rate measures the number of claimants as a proportion of resident population. This analysis presents for a members local authority area a two year view plus a rural average of claimant rates.

This analysis of Economic Activity presents a two year view plus a rural average of the relative economic activity/inactivity experienced within a local authority area.
