Temporary assistance at less than commercial rates
SPARSE Rural exists to argue the rural funding case to Government and to network and share rural best practice. It relies almost entirely on membership subscriptions.
We appreciate that Councils are facing extremely difficult financial decisions and accordingly we have introduced this service to ensure that our members will always receive excellent return value for their subscription. In summary, this locum service provides a back-up resource to help you maintain services in three key areas during periods of emergency. If this offer is taken up in full - our estimate (in comparison to normal commercial rates) equates to a saving of £1,700. It is offered in addition to our other free services
As a member of SPARSE Rural we are prepared to provide your authority, on an annual basis:
• Response advice on any Financial, Performance or Economic Development issue completely free of charge. (subject to a maximum of 3 hours professional input)
• Work on Finance, Performance, or Economic Development Issues, up to a maximum of 15 hours (two working days) per member authority per subscription year, at a nominal rate of £150. Further subsidised advice on these issues can be provided at a rate of only £300 per day for a further 3 days.
We will be pleased to negotiate a detailed specification of the work to be undertaken and provide a clear estimate for the likely time requirement. No 'agency fees' apply.
This service is subject to available staff resource, but we will do all we can to assist every request. It will normally be provided remotely although it may be possible to negotiate on-site provision subject to the payment of travel costs.
We will also try to help with short term contracts of up to three months duration, again at a reduced commercial cost. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
