We can provide comparative analyses of Local Area Agreements highlighting the rural aspect.
We will present a detailed bi-annual statement on the state of rural services in England harnessing your local experiences.
Detailed National Analysis of data relevant to LSP’s
We will provide comparative data for your authority building a data base at local level. Comparisons will be established against the detailed national analysis of place and other statistics. This we feel is going to be a really interesting service and it will grow incrementally.
Rural Review of Public Services Report
Every second year we will produce a report detailing the position of a range of rural services. The trends and variances will be identified. In the summer of every other year, we will ask all members to input their view on the position locally. The information collected will be collated with national statistics to establish the periodic position statement.
The statement will bring together the latest rural research and statistics with local knowledge from service providers to provide a unique insight incorporating new policy ideas. We want to put rural services under a national and local spotlight and this we believe is an effective way of achieving that aim.
Rural Review of Public Services 2010
This is the first time the RSN has produced a Rural Review of Public Services Report and, as such it marks both a milestone for the network and a foundation for its future. We feel this will be a very significant exercise that will constantly track how rural services are working, how they are threatened, how they are changing and how they are evolving.

LSP, LAA Advice Work, CAA
We will provide some analysis and an advice service into these areas. Sections of the website will major on these topics relevant to all LSP bodies, not just the local authorities. Clearly the position will evolve under the new government but below are useful links:
* This LGID (formally IDeA) page contains all the current documents for 2008-11
* This is the One Place site where you can search for any National Indicator score for any upper tier LA area, including how it compares with the national average and direction of travel. This is based on the first and last Comprehensive Area Assessment exercise which was in 2009
As this service evolves we seek to relate this periodic review to the position in relation to Local Member areas so that members can compare their local circumstances with the position we detail across England.
